#ADMFW Day 1 review

As modest fashion creatives gathered from around the world to participate in the first day of Abu Dhabi Modest Fashion Week, all the hard work, late nights, and re-sketching proved to have paid off, as keen observers the world over were left in awe of the collections on show.

The runway flooded with magical snippets of culture, intricate - and at times bold designs, and a peephole into the innovative world of modest fashion and where it's headed.

So it would only be fair to capture the first day in our favourite runway picks...

Afrik Abaya - Nigeria

Chic black modest abaya's with accents of colourful African prints, adorned with textured lace and sheer sleeves - it all came together beautifully in this collection.

Antonella Bravi - Italy

A perfect fusion between bright and bold prints synonymous with luxurious Italian fashion, and the beauty of modest silhouettes. We could shop all the pieces. Bravo!

Tug Fashion - Turkiye

Inspired by styles emanating from Greek Mythology, Tug fashion brought flowy, draped and caped garments with beautifully textured over-layers to the runway, showcasing them in stunningly modest ways.

Bespoke Atelier

Bright colours and the use of intricate paneling to create modest structured garments came together beautifully for the Bespoke show.

Miha - Turkiye

Florals, pastels, textured fabrics and fabulous accessories all wrapped beautifully in modest luxury! WOW!

Salam Design - Palestine

An all-white collection, one of modest bridal dreams, presented versatile textured designs for every bride. The added touches of cute accessories and multi-layered fabrics added chic-ness to an already opulent collection.

Haba - Qatar

'Royal' is the word that comes to mind for this collection which showcased the fusing of fabrics and textures in the most vibrant coloured abaya's in exquisite modest silhouettes. 

Turana Atash - UK

Combining luxury swim-wear and textured abayas to show off the brand's versatile pieces.

Les Atelier - Netherlands

A showcase that merges together chic and comfort, the soft colours and flowy silhouettes ooze style and make for the perfect addition to any capsule collection pieces.

Ayana Active - US

Activewear that embraces all the traditional active trends that we love, without sacrificing the modesty element- yes please! The collection is bold, functional and effortlessly cool.

North Arabia Couture - Nigeria

Vivacious colours and extravagant headpieces make this collection one for the daring trendsetter that thrives on owning her outfit.

Marina - Turkey

Living in resort wear wouldn't be hard with this latest collection from Marina - showcasing gorgeous prints and bold accents of colour.

Iran Delegation - Iran

A show-stopping collection and one of our favs - with no apparent theme, except attention to detailed opulence.
